Tellen's Place BLOG HOP!!!!

It's time for a Tellen's Place BLOG HOP!!!!

Are you ready to hop on down the bunny trail? Of course you are - that's why you're here - to get this "hop" started! So let's begin...

The Tellen's Place Divas have been hard at work, designing projects for the new images that you will also see posted on the Tellen's Place Designs store on Friday. These are special images for Easter and will be available for purchase until April 10th. You will find Edward and Ally all ready for this special day along with Jessica and a few other friends as they color their eggs and find them later.

This is "Bunny with Ally". Isn't she so cute being carried off by the Easter Bunny?

For my card I used a combination of SU and CTMH cardstock; Copic markers; Stickles glitter glue; Martha Stewart paper punch; Sentiment is CTMH and so are the Easter eggs; and pop dots for a lil dimension.

Our blog hop starts today (3/24) and will end on 3/26). One winner will have a choice of five of the TP images used by the designers for this special blog hop. There will be more than five images to choose from. How cool is that? Oh...I almost forgot to tell you - we have another fun part of this blog hop - a scavenger hunt! That's right - on each designer's blog, there is a secret highlighted word and you'll only need to remember each designer's word from her blog and send an e-mail to Terry (terry@tellensplacedesigns.com) with the correct word for each person. You know what, the winner will get a prize (see Tellen's Place for a picture of this grand prize).

So, two things to remember: (1) a prize to the winner just for hopping and leaving a comment on each blog, including Tellen's Place and (2) compile a list of the correct words you find highlighted on each designer's blog and e-mail that list to Terry to win a fabulous prize.

Well, it's tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day! Yay! How many green goodies are you going to indulge in tomorrow?

I made some cute little cards for my co-workers and wanted to share them with you.

I used CTMH cardstock; SU paper punches; bling from Michael's; pop dots for dimension; and these really cute heart shaped brads with a shamrock stamp I found at the Stamp Expo a few weeks ago.

Tomorrow is also Chad's birthday. Chad is Michelle's, my stamping sistah, hubby. Let's all wish him a fabulous birthday!!!!

Robyn's Fetish Weekly SCRAP LAYOUT SKETCH Challenge!!!

Happy Saturday and welcome to another Robyn's Fetish Saturday Challenge. There is a twist this time around. This is a Scrapbook Layout Challenge!!!

Ok, here is your assignment this week:

Create a Scrapbook LO using this sketch.

Use your instincts and if you want to flip it around, change the number of photos, size and/or shape of the photos or embellishments...go for it!! Just follow the general sketch rules.

Here is my Scrapbook Layout:

I have to admit....this was my very first scrapbook layout and a VERY challenging one for me. I am a card maker & have always been too scared to put together a scrapbook page. Call me crazy, but there is too much space to fill on a scrapbook page rather than a card! But I went with my gut & tried to put something together. I really wanted to add photos of my daughter from her 1st birthday party, but my printer is on the fritz. Humor me and imagine there are 2 pics on my page. LOL!

For my layout, I used CTMH & SU cardstock; Copic markers; Robyn's Fetish cake image; SU birthday image; CTMH alphabet; ribbon from Michael's; and Stickles glitter glue.

This challenge runs from Saturday, February 27th through next Friday, March 5th. If you use either Robyn's Fetish Stickers or Stamps you will then be entered twice to win 3 new images!!!

Happy Thursday!!!! It's Softpencil time!

For this week's project, we are using the Softpencil image "Japanese Girl". She was so much fun to color!!! Well, for this week's challenge, the Softpencil DT's were divided into 3 teams. The teams are called Mermaid, A Sweet Pirate, and Japanese Girl. And our challenge is to use our favorite color medium. For my card I used Copic markers.

Ahhhh, it's the weekend! Yay! I made a card this morning for the Pink Elephant Challenge. The challenge this week is to make a birthday card. I knew of THE perfect image to use, a Stretch N Bubbles FREE Cupcake digi.

Yay - the weekend is finally here!!!! I am extra excited for the weekend because tonight is my cookie swap with some close girlfriends of mine. I made some really easy & cute recipe cards to hand out this evening. Check them out!

Here is my recipe card for Holiday Magic Bars:

If you are having a hard time seeing the actual recipes, I've listed them out below:

Holiday Magic Bars
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
12 oz. package of semi-sweet morsels
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a 13x9 inch baking pan, melt margarine in oven. Sprinkle crumbs over butter; pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumbs. Layer evenly with remaining ingredients; press down firmly.
Bake 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Cut into bars. Store loosely covered at room temperature.

Easy Chocolate Fudge

12 oz. package of semi-sweet morsels
14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla extract

In a large glass measuring cup, combine morsels and condensed milk. Microwave on high 3 minutes and remove. Stir until morsels melt and mixture is smooth. Stir in walnuts and vanilla. Put into a pan lined with wax paper and cover. Put in fridge over night to harden.

Happy Wednesday! It is STILL cold here! Funny....when it's the heat of summer here, I can't wait for cooler weather. I have my cooler weather, and wish I had my summer heat again! LOL!

Isn't this little elf adorable? She's from The Greeting Farm. She was so much fun to color. I love the traditional Red & Green christmas colors, but I also love to match odd colors. I think the bright green & pink really work with this card. And, I really love the North Pole ribbon I found at Michaels. Super cute!

Hi there! Well, it rained all day yesterday and made it extremely cold here in Vegas. Turns out, this morning is absolutely cold. I think IF it were to rain today, but it's not in the forecast, it could actually snow! It did snow last December, so you never know! So, I say "brrrrr.....". I think this card is appropriate!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

Wow - it's really cold out today! It's been unseasonably cold the past few days. All I want to do is curl up on the couch with my hubby & baby girl and do nothing! LOL! I did hunker down & made a few cards this weekend. Here is one I'd like to share with you.

This image is from a line called "Pure Innocence" that I found at My Favorite Things. I absolutely love this line. It also reminds me of my lil girl!

Like I mentioned earlier, Softpencil added me as one of their DTs. This will be my first Softpencil challenge and I am SUPER excited! This week's project is Elizabeth's new 2010 calendars. Let me tell you.....these calendars are so much fun!!!!

Counting Down to Christmas!

Happy Wednesday! What I am sharing with you today is a Countdown to Christmas block set. This was a class at my local scrap booking store, Scrappin Time, that got canceled since I was the only one who signed up! They sent me home with a kit to put together myself. Unfortunately I just got it finished tonight. There is a lot of painting & modge-podging (is that EVEN a word???) and I needed the wood blocks & angel to dry overnight.

I painted the wood pieces, glue down the paper squares & numbers and then I used modge podge to glaze it all down. The blocks have different patterned paper on each side & different numbers too. Super cute, photo doesn't do the paper justice! The angel was painted and I used stickles to glitter up her wings. Glued the halo (there is a halo, but you really can't see it in the photos) & the ribbon to her dress.....and voila!

The hard thing about this cute kit is......deciding where to put it! It would be perfect on my desk at work and it would also be perfect on my kitchen counter. Hmmmmm, decisions decisions! LOL!

As the calendar shows, there are only 23 days until Christmas!!!!! WOW! Stop back tomorrow, I will have more to share!

Countdown to Christmas...

Well, I recently signed up for a class at my local scrapbook store, Julie Jane Paper Company, but due to my work obligations, I had to cancel the class and pick up a kit of my class instead. The kit came all ready for me to assemble, how nice is that? The class is a Countdown to Christmas Advent Calendar. Let me tell you....I spent all day working on this and I think it was well worth it! Thank goodness I got it done before December 1st! LOL.

The calendar is on a 16 x 20 canvas with little tins that screw open to put a cute little toy, gift or candy in. Even though my daughter is only 13 months old, I can picture this advent calendar in our family for years to come & her delight in checking the calendar each day.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Did you get stuffed? My Weight Watchers version of the side dishes came out amazing. I couldn't even tell that they were low cal/low fat! They tasted like the real stuff! How great is that??? I am looking forward to my first turkey sandwich today. Yay!

Another "yay" moment happened this morning. I received an e-mail notifying me that I made the DT for Softpencil! Thank you so much Elizabeth! I just love her stamps. When you get a chance, go check her out! She also has a shop at Etsy, here.

Well, we are putting up Christmas today. So, once that is done, I hope to make a card or two to share with you later.

Gobble gobble! I am baking all of the side dishes as we speak. Crustless pumpkin pie, guilt-free green bean casserole, and skinny stuffing. All are Weight Watchers friendly, which will truly help the waistline & diet today!

I made this card last night and had Christmas on my mind. Probably because tomorrow we set up Christmas in the house. Yay!!!! Christmas is my favorite holiday.

Isn't this little girl super sweet? She's from Pink Cat Studios. I have fallen in love with Martha Stewart's paper punches. This icicle one is so much fun to use on glittered paper. Snowy Winter Wishes

Happy Tuesday! Only a few more days until Turkey Day! I am already in the mood for Christmas and all it has to bring. Must be all of the Christmas music I have been listening to. That was my inspiration when making this card. I just absolutely love this color combination. It screams winter to me.

This is a super cute digi image from Pink Cat Studio. I've used it before and plan on using it again, again, & again! I just picked up my first Martha Stewart paper punch, which is the icicles you see at the top of the card. OMG - I love this punch!!!!

THE perpetual calendar...(lots of photos!)

As promised, I am sharing with you the awesome perpetual calendar I made this past weekend at the Julie Jane Paper Company. The pictures truly don't do the calendar justice. The wood is a cherry wood, but with the black backdrop for the photo, you really can't tell. (Sorry). The instructor had everything pre-cut and ready to go. The only thing I had to worry about was which patterned paper did I want on this particular month or this particular day. LOL! Decisions, decisions!

(This is the back of the calendar - where you store the extra months & days that aren't being used - clever, huh!)

I had fun making this calendar. The ribbon, paper flowers & buttons really make the calendar home-spunny (if that is even a word!). You'll see that to the left of the actual date, there is a 4x6 pattern paper. (See, the very first photo). This is where you can put any picture or collage of photos. Like I said before, decisions decisions, because I still haven't decided on which picture to put there!

Happy Saturday! I just love the weekends!!!!

I made this card the other night and just got around to sharing it with you. I'm not sure if it's because I love Christmas or because it's a cute little girl stamp, or BOTH, but I just love this adorable Christmas girl! She's all bundled up for winter (hence the sentiment).

The stamp is a digi stamp from Pink Cat Studios and the sentiment is from the $1 bin at Michaels (gotta love that!). I used cardstock by CTMH, Bo Bunny, and a no-named glittered cardstock. The cool thing about this random glittered cardstock from my scrap drawer is it's peelable and can be placed on colored cardstock! How cool is that??? I love glitter and had SO much fun glittering up this card! I used my Copic markers; Stickles glitter; SU grosgrain ribbon; Nestabilities Spellbinders; and pop dots! This card was so easy-peasy to make. :-)

I had so much fun with this card. This is a super-duper cute digi stamp from Pink Cat Studio called "Cuddles". I went through my big pile of scrap cardstock from left over projects & found some fun colors that went together. Not sure if you can tell, but the eyes are glassy from the CTMH Liquid Glass effect. I just recently bought my first set of Nestabilities and have had so much fun playing with them.

The cardstock is a combination of CTMH & Far and Away; Cuttlebug Stylized Flowers; CTMH organdy ribbon; the sentiment is from the $1 bin at Michaels; and I used SU paper punches.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas MFT Challenge!!!

Happy Tuesday ~

I noticed My Favorite Things was having a challenge. The deal is to make a project using WHITE as the primary color! It could be anything (a card, scrapbook page, giftie item - whatever), I just had to make sure that it's mostly WHITE! I also had to use a MFT stamp set, but at least it wasn't strictly just MFT stamp sets. So, this is my white card. I use a bunch of color in my cards, so this really was a challenge for me. I do like the way the card turned out. This can be used for any holiday or occasion, but for some reason New Year's pops into my head. You too?
